Also known as the Atlantic blue crab and the Chesapeake blue crab, the blue crab is common species of crab found throughout the western Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. As their name suggests, they can easily be identified by their vibrant blue color.

A relatively small type of fish endemic to the reefs and shallow lagoons of the Indian and Pacific oceans, there are over 30 different species of anemonefish. The different species can have many different colorations, although the most iconic is the orange body and white stripes of the orange anemonefish!
History: Most anemonefish are actually protandrous hermaphrodites, which means they can alternate between both genders throughout their lives. Anemonefish have this adaptation so that their breeding groups are never disrupted, regardless of whether or not specific members are removed. Commonly dispersed throughout the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean, cownose rays are a species of eagle ray that can grow to be just under four feet long. Although not particularly dangerous, cownose rays can use the barb on their tail to deliver a fairly weak toxin.

Characteristics: Despite their potentially surprising sting, we promise this model is safe to touch! Like all Safari wildlife figurines, our cownose ray model was individually hand painted and crafted with lifelike detail.

Characteristics: This professionally-sculpted and hand-painted model captures the Giant Pacific Octopus’ sprawling body, including its eight arms lined with hooked suction cups, striking yellow eyes, and expansive head. Characteristics: The name hermit crab is derived from the fact that hermit crabs carry their shells, which are also their homes, on their back. Although this hand painted figurine already has a home of its own, we’re sure it would still love to come back to yours!

This large ray can grow up to six feet across and is found in tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Scientific Name: Taeniura meyeni
Characteristics: This hand-painted and highly detailed Marble Ray figure is scientifically accurate, educational and fun! It’s sculpted with the fronts of its fins raised, meaning it is beginning the undulating motion that will push its body through the water.
Size and Color: At about 5 ½ inches wide, the main body of this figure is slightly larger than a DVD or Blu-Ray disc, with the tail adding an additional 3 inches to the length, making it about 8 inches long.
