History: Throughout history, many different civilizations have seen and interacted with cheetahs and have incorporated them into their folklore and art. Cheetahs were once found in a much larger range that included Palestine, central India, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. However, due to many different factors such as habitat loss and fragmentation, they are now found in roughly 24 percent of their historic range.
