The horned lizard is docile reptile found throughout North America, and is sometimes colloquially referred to as the horned toad or the horned frog. It earned these nicknames due to its round body and head, which at a distance can resemble a toad of frog.

Unfortunately, many tortoise species are either threatened, vulnerable, or endangered, primarily due to human activity.
